GR Employment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Courier Driver based at Exeter Logistics Park.

About the Role

As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipments across your designated route.

Acting as a frontline representative of the business, you will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed accurately, professionally, and within agreed timescales.

You will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. This role requires excellent organisation, strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Whilst you will be assigned a geographical route, flexibility is important, as you may occasionally be required to support alternative routes to meet operational requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver and collect shipments safely and efficiently.Complete multi-drop delivery and collection routes within agreed timescales.Accurately scan and process shipments using handheld devices.Provide excellent customer service at all times.Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.Maintain accurate delivery records and associated paperwork.Ensure all shipments are handled securely and with care.Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and management.Support alternative routes and operational requirements where required.Work efficiently to meet customer and operational deadlines.Comply with all company procedures, road traffic legislation, and health and safety requirements.What We're Looking ForFull UK Driving Licence.Previous multi-drop courier experience is preferred; however, applicants with relevant delivery driving experience will also be considered.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong planning, route-management, and organisational abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Good attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to make sound decisions while working under pressure.Security training will be provided where required.What You'll Need to SucceedExcellent customer service skills.Strong time-management and route-planning abilities.A professional and positive attitude.Ability to work independently and meet strict delivery deadlines.Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Driving RequirementsHold a valid Full UK Driving Licence.Be legally entitled to drive in the UK.Have the right to work in the UK.Due to the client's motor insurance requirements, applicants must meet the insurer's eligibility criteria, which currently include being aged 21 or over.Have no more than 9 live penalty points on their driving licence.Have no unspent major motoring convictions.Successfully complete any required driving licence, identity, reference, and background checks.Physical Requirements

This role may involve:

Frequent vehicle entry and exit throughout the day.Lifting, carrying, and moving parcels.Manual handling activities.Working to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive deadlines.Security Screening Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants may be required to:
