GR Employment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Courier Driver based in the Brackmills area of Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join a leading logistics operation. The role is offered on a temporary basis, with regular full-time hours and ongoing support from your dedicated consultant.

No experience is required, as full training will be provided.

About the Role

As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers across your designated route.

You will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the business, you will be expected to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

This role requires excellent planning and organisational skills to prioritise deliveries, meet operational deadlines, and exceed customer expectations. Whilst you will be assigned a geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to support alternative routes to meet business requirements.

You will also be responsible for scanning shipments, maintaining accurate records, and working efficiently to ensure all delivery and collection deadlines are achieved.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver and collect shipments safely and efficiently.Provide excellent customer service at all times.Complete deliveries and collections within agreed timescales.Accurately scan and process shipments using handheld devices.Follow designated delivery routes and schedules.Ensure all shipments are handled securely and with care.Maintain accurate delivery records and associated paperwork.Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.Adhere to all road traffic laws and company procedures.Support operational requirements by covering alternative routes when required.Work efficiently to meet operational and customer deadlines.What We're Looking ForFull UK Driving Licence.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong planning and organisational abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Good attention to detail.Ability to make sound decisions and work effectively under pressure.No experience needed, as full training will be given.Security training will be provided where required.Physical Requirements

This role may involve:

Frequent vehicle entry and exit throughout the day.Lifting, carrying, and moving parcels.Manual handling activities.Working to time-sensitive delivery schedules.Driving RequirementsHold a valid Full UK Driving Licence.Be legally entitled to drive in the UK.Have the right to work in the UK.Due to the client's motor insurance requirements, applicants must meet the insurer's eligibility criteria, which currently include being aged 21 or over.Have no more than 6 live penalty points on their driving licence.Have no unspent major motoring convictions.Successfully complete any required driving licence, identity, reference, and background checks.Security Screening Requirements
